Vice Presidents
Vice Presidents are selected from retiring or previous
Members of the Club.
They would normally be nominated on the basis that they
have contributed
significantly to the running of the Club
for a number of years.
Vice Presidents are full members of the Club and therefore
have voting rights at the Club's AGM or any EGM.
Vice Presidents are nominated and elected by the Club
Members present at the AGM or any EGM.
There is no right for any member to vote by proxy.
Nominations for the position of Vice President are required
from two existing members prior to or at the AGM or EGM
and require in excess of two thirds majority of Members
present at the AGM or EGM to be elected.
Vice Presidents can only be elected if the number of existing
Vice Presidents is less than 33% of the total Club membership
at the time of election.
The position of Vice President is for a ten year period or until
such time as the Vice President retires whichever the sooner.
Retiring Vice Presidents can make themselves available for
re-election for a further ten year period subject to the
nomination and voting rules defined above.
